Two big fairs to go...then fun in the snow! (hopefully)

Hi Wire Harmony buddies,

I have been working to prepare for the biggest fair this year, coming up on Sunday.  I have devoted a lot of effort and time to my glass gem collection, which has bedazzled pendants and rings.  These gems have captured my imagination for a really long time, and I hope you find them as cool as I do.  They are simple, funky, unique and completely had made (except for the gem itself, of course).  These pieces allow me to incorporate my old stained glass skills and my newer jewelry making ones.  Add a little bling to any outfit, dress them up or down.

I also wanted to bring back a style that I did a while ago, the convertible necklace.  Wear it as a longer necklace, or separate the pieces and sport a short necklace and accompanying bracelet.  I love the versatility.

One of my popular earring styles has always been the Celtic knots.  Some people find the original style a bit big, so I have created a mini version!  A cute little knot that does not have as long a dangle factor.

So, in addition to the Encinitas Fall Festival on Sunday, I was accepted into the Coronado Artisans' Alley!!  I am really excited because this is a long standing high class affair with amazing artists and talent.  Acceptance is not automatic, you must be selected.  Yea!  I am really excited to be at this fair, which will be my last large scale event this calendar year.  Of course, I will continue to do the Bernardo Winery on Fridays, except for a couple around the holidays.  I will update as that gets closer.  We are heading to Santa Barbara in mid December then off to Reno, NV for Christmas.  The kids are praying for snow!

Positive side, my fairs so far have been great and I have sold tons of pieces.  Yea!  Everywhere I go I have met fun, awesome people with zest for life and amazing creativity.  What a journey this has been.  If you have been unlucky enough to miss Wire Harmony, check out my upcoming shows!

What it's all about...fun, laughs, great friends

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready for a big day tomorrow at the North Park Craft Mafia Cement Block Fair.  I am excited that my mom, Cheryl Boley, gets to spend the entire day in the trenches with me!  I think she is a bit afraid of this prospect, especially since I have informed her that I want her to go around handing out fliers and extolling my virtues to the general public.  Ha!  She gave me a very skeptical look, as only moms can do so well.  At least I have another model to wear stuff!

My friend, Arika Jock, provided me with some much needed marketing advise, and I am totally stoked about my goofy idea to have gals throw darts at balloons and pop them, causing a surprise item or discount to be revealed from inside.  Sounds fun, right?  No matter how I do in sales, at least I can have a great time doing it.

By the way, we all had a great time at Arika's W.H. party.  Thanks so much ladies (Arika, Missy, Kathryn, Missy's mom Sandra from K.C., Kim, Irina, Nita, and Rachelle) for coming and making me feel loved by such a great group of friends.  Rachelle, you dodged a bullet because I could not get your photo to load for some mysterious reason.... I am thinking sabotage!

Miss Arika...with W.H. custom pieces.

Nita Bandita...looking so cute! Wearing her B-day earrings. Happy 40th!

At the Bernardo Winery ArtWalk with my new big sign!!

And now, for the general gallery...thanks for reading!!

It's summer time!!

Hello to all my summer frolicking friends!!

I love summer, which is kinda silly to say in San Diego, but it does get hotter!!  Also, fun summer events are as prevalent as missing teeth in my daughter's head.  (ha ha!)  Today is my sweet hubby's B-day, so Happy Birthday, honey!!  45 is just a number (a high number, but who am I to say....;)

Along with summer comes lots of artsy type events, some of which I am going to take part in!  Yea!  Officially on the calendar right now for Wire Harmony are the following:

Summer Sunset ArtWalk at Rancho Bernardo Winery,
Friday July 26th, 4-8 p.m.

ALL handmade crafts and jewelry while you sip a glass or two of vino, eat some tasty food, listen to music...
Come and bring a friend.  This is a weekly event during summer months.

R.B. Winery Sunset ArtWalk

North Park Craft Mafia Juried Show
August 4, exact time and location (North Park) TBD, (10 am-5pm-ish)
Yes, I made it in this time!! Yipee!!  More info to come!

Private Party
My lovely friend, Arika, is also hostessing a party for me at the end of July, which is quite awesome.  In exchange, she gets free jewelry!! (And my undying devotion forever, ha ha.)
If anyone else would like to hostess a low-key party and get free jewelry (or cash!), drop me a line.

Also newsworthy...

I donated a Celtic necklace and bracelet to a local fundraiser for OMO Child.  Its is a truly amazing story.  An African boy from the Omo Valley in Ethiopia gets educated and comes back to his tribe years later to end the tradition of killing "Mingi" children, those who are "cursed".  He has saved 37 children from this fate and has taken on housing, feeding and educating them, along with the help of a National Geographic photographer who lives in Scripps Ranch.  I got to meet them both...inspiring people to say the least.

Please check out the web site...this story will blow you away!!!

**I am currently taking a break from the Scripps Ranch Farmer's Market.  I am looking to other opportunities in La Jolla and Encinitas...stay tuned! **

Now, for the updated gallery photos.  Happy summer to all.
